Pizza.Pasta.Salads Finally Opens on La Brea

The future of Pizza.Pasta.Salads on La Brea looked a little uncertain for a minute following its discovery here last October and subsequent months of idling. But the restaurant finally opened three weeks ago, serving a tight selection of its eponymous Italian dishes, with everything made from scratch and many plates inspired by the recipes of dearly departed Anna Maria’s. There are five salads, six thin-crust pizzas, and eight pasta plates, with sides of bruschetta and stuffed artichoke, plus three traditional desserts. It sounds homey and straight-forward, and a website promises an upscale atmosphere available for events, which already guarantees a style-upgrade–started by nearby Local’s–for the surrounding Mid-City blocks (with no disrespect to Roscoe’s or Marilyn’s). Hopefully, a similarly stagnant Flavors of Belize makes a move up the street soon, but while you wait, check out Pizza.Pasta.Salads’ full menu on its website.
