User Reviews: Maybe Northern Spy Could Do With a Bread Basket

We have full faith in the culinary opinions of our stalwart critics, Adam Platt, Rob Patronite, and Robin Raisfeld, but sometimes what we really want to hear is what the average diner has to say. So we turn to nymag.com’s restaurant user reviews for guidance. This week: Northern Spy, DiFara Pizza, Fetch, Nice Green Bo, and Doma.

Northern Spy, current rating: 9
“Tiny portions. I mean, skimpy … Why not throw three or four more gnocchi on the plate? Or if the proprietor believes that that would break the bank, why not put some bread on the table. I hear that’s starting to get big at other restaurants.” BigWest

DiFara Pizza, current rating: 7
“Domenico De Marco should be knighted … It’s really that good and it’s entertaining to watch this artist, this bright shining light from heaven, make your pie.” yekcul

Fetch, current rating: 8
“At first I avoided Fetch because I thought that you could bring your dog inside the restaurant with you. But upon the realization that I am an idiot and that is illegal, I gave it a try. Have been there 10+ times since.” Kickinitallday

Nice Green Bo, current rating: 8
“Never had a bad dish here in 10 years of frequent visits, and I eat all over Chinatown. The scallion pancakes are sublime and the dumplings incredible, but the place is so busy that the food is fresh, fresh, fresh and has tons of taste.” jamesjohnson2

Doma, current rating: 5
“Recently they’ve been fussing with the menu and it seems like they want to turn it into more of a cafe, not a coffee shop … I liked the old Doma, it’s kind of too chic for its own good now.” gna207

Surely you have opinions about the places where you’ve been eating. Leave a review for your favorite (or least-favorite) restaurant, and you just might find yourself featured here.
