Here’s some really exciting news for Lula Cafe. The Logan Square spot has just hired pastry chef Kate Neumann. She’s well known for her work at mk, along with a stint and Alinea and BOKA. The extremely popular brunch spot has never really been known for its pastries and desserts, so this seems like a serious move to step up its quality. Of course, if you’ve ever been in Lula you may wonder where in the hell they’d put her in the cramped space. Well, Steve Dolinsky reports that the restaurant purchased a space next door and will expand. This is good news for anyone that has had to wait in line for a table during brunch.
