Another commercial food truck is blasting down the road, this time gassed up by ESPN to get in on World Cup fever. The cable channel did net at least one huge coup for its “Match Trucks” by getting chef Roy Choi to create what a press release calls a “world-inspired” menu that brings the street eats of different countries together, which hopefully means pork belly bunny chow rice bowls from the Kogi/Chego creator. The trucks, appearing in both L.A. and N.Y.C., also hope to score with LCD video screens showing the games, though surely Choi’s popularity surpasses soccer’s with the key demo here. The truck’s debut will be at Hollywood and Highland this Friday at 6:00 A.M.
A full schedule is online and The ESPN Match Truck can be tracked on Twitter. Update: Find the full menu below, bunny chow and all!
