Gladstone’s Food And Design Overhaul Nearing Completion

It’s been nearly a year since Sam Nazarian’s SBE intervened in the calamity that had become Gladstone’s-4-Fish but apparently this fish-shack-of-so-much-lost-potential is set to debut both a new look and new food soon. From what Eater reports, cuisine is getting cleaner and lighter, with chefs Daniel Elmaleh and Ben Sitton upgrading every recipe, making the fried fish batter healthier, and partnering with LaBrea Bakery to ensure fresh baked loaves. The scurvy look of the place is also going brighter and more streamlined too, with new flooring, better ocean views, an improved patio, and “relaxed” seating. But this being SBE, there are still a few dubious/douche-ious decisions like flat-screen TVs and a fancy clothing boutique from The Hamptons. Nonetheless, any improvements are welcome here and the chance to experience them fully is just around the corner.
