Foie Gras Ramen and Pig’s Feet Gyoza Popping Up at BreadBar

Photo: BreadBar

BreadBar on Third St. has a new Japanese street food-influenced dinner series stretching from next Tuesday through July 24th. Called Yatai Ramen, this six-week pop-up features a menu by chefs Kazuo Shimamura and Noriyuki Sugie that will be available every night but Sunday. Here they plan to blast casual Japanese snacks into the luxury ingredient stratosphere, with hot ramen based around foie gras as well as oxtail with truffle oil, as well as more traditional takes with pork belly, seaweed, and leeks. On the more authentic side, shio ramen is still gussied up with Indonesian sea salt and shoyu with aged soy sauce, while sides will see gyoza packed with pig’s feet and kale. To drink, four-dollar coconut and chai boba could help with all the heat. Could it rival Santouka? Check out the full menu below and let us know what you think. Reservations can be made at 310-205-0124.
