Dueling Pianos, Cocktail Buckets Arrive in Boston

Howl at the Moon, a national chain of dueling piano bars, will open its first Boston location in the Financial District this summer, according to the restaurant’s website. This is the same haute comfort food spot/piano bar opening at 184 High Street we told you about back in January and a look at the website reveals even more than we dreamed of: 86 ounce drinks served in buckets! Servers costumed as everything from cowboys to cheerleaders! Injectors of Jell-O!

Howl at the Moon is centered around dueling piano shows, punctuated by “Showtime,” a nightmare wherein “all Howl service employees join in and lead the audience through a choreographed routine to animated versions of popular tunes that include nostalgic TV shows and commercial jingles.” Howl at the Moon seems destined to be a popular spot for 21st birthdays and bachelorette parties, if nothing else.
