Like a lot of chefs, Harry Darling, owner of Darling’s Diner and Darlings Cheesecake Cafes, believes he has what it takes to be the star of a cooking show. Unlike most others though, instead of waiting around to be discovered, he’s started producing his own show, The Darling Chef, which he hosts monthly at his diner at the Piazza, KYW’s Hadas Kuznits reports. On the second Monday of each month, Darling rearranges the tables in his dining room to make space for cameras, crew and between 20 to 40 audience members, and demonstrates how to cook some of his restaurant’s more popular dishes. Some weeks other chefs join him for the taping; other weeks he does it alone. The shows will begin airing soon on Facebook and the Darlings Diner website. [KYW]
