Buddachen, which opened in Brookline in February, will be changing its name to Budda C after a copyright infringement suit, reports the Brookline TAB. Philadelphia-based Buddakan, which also has branches in New York City and Atlantic City, filed the claim in March, stating that the names were too similar and that the public would “be confused, mistaken, or deceived as to the origin and sponsorship” of the restaurant. Budda C serves pan-Asian cuisine in an “ultra trendy atmosphere.”
