Eater reports that chef Brooke Williamson and domestic/business partner Nick Roberts are actively searching for a new West L.A. location to place their South Bay gastropub Hudson House. We spoke with a source close to the restaurants who tell us that the next project is not guaranteed to be a Hudson House reprise, but could be a new concept. Furthermore, the duo are ending their ownership stake in Venice’s Beechwood while preparing to open another restaurant “on the Westside.” Beechwood will remain in the hands of co-owner David Reiss, who the Williamson-Robertses are currently helping to pick a brand-new chef for the Washington Blvd. restaurant. It would be excellent to see Williamson return to the creative Cali cuisine of her original Amuse Cafe, though duplicating the success of Hudson House must no doubt be tempting.
