It’s that time of year again when Brad A. Johnson sums up a very packed year of eating around town with his “Best Of L.A.” list, which will be published this Friday in the new issue of Angeleno. Feast points readers to the critic’s Twitter feed where Johnson is laying out his picks for the past year. Who’s winning one of Angeleno’s Restaurant Awards?

Among the many winners, Grill on the Alley scores for best service and The Bazaar follows suit for its wine program. In bigger news, Ludo wins as runner-up to Michael Cimarusti’s best chef grab, while Voltaggio is the victor for best new chef.

Lazy Ox beats runner-up Bistro LQ for L.A.’s best new restaurant, while it’s pretty shocking to find La Cachette Bistro chosen over Bouchon, WP24, and Red O in the top ten “best of the new.” And taking home the big prize, Hatfield’s, who Johnson raved about in April, grabbed the number-one spot for best restaurant.

Johnson will follow this list with a massive rager for foodies at The Fairmont on August 1st. If you want to see more of his best-of L.A. picks before the issue comes out, or simply want him to feel loved (the good sir has only 307 followers), check out his Twitter page, which frequently rewards with gems like, “HORRIBLE brunch at Casa del Mar…Dennys would have been far superior!” Ouch.
