Campos is under construction to become unaffiliated Benny’s

Campos Tacos on Venice’s Lincoln Blvd. is officially closed. Replacing it will be Benny’s Tacos and Rotisserie, which promises a “Mexican grill menu” of made-to-order foods and has no connection to the widespread chain previously housed here. Benny’s expects to premier in about two weeks with an opening party for the neighborhood, delaying a debut that was originally scheduled for today so that construction can be completed on the vacated space. Already looking to improve on the Campos experience, owner Benny tells Grub Street that all meats will be cooked by rotisserie and tortillas will be made in-house.
