Philly Beer Week knows no bounds. Nothing proves this better than a beer-themed dinner at a BYOB, which is exactly what George Sabatino, chef de cuisine at Midtown Village’s Bindi, has planned for tonight’s $20 Thali Tuesday, the restaurant’s weekly sampling of Indian dishes. “Every week we come up with a theme for our thali menu,” Sabatino told Grub Street. “I thought it would cool to do an Indian pub menu like this for Beer Week.”
Tonight’s menu will feature a selection of pub dishes that Sabatino has put an Indian twist on, including Indian-spiced chicken wings, Parsi style fish and chips, IPA battered onion rings and masala spiced frites.
“I would definitely recommend bringing beer,” Sabatino said. When asked what kind he recommends, he told us, “Whatever you like to drink with good food.”
