B3 (1152 Valencia), billing itself as a ‘winemaker’s speakeasy,’ may be making its debut sooner than we thought, and The Perfect Spot reports from one of their preview events last week on the menu and wine list. Wine guys Ron Elder and Johnny Gato (formerly of Bouchon) will be starting off with a list of about 15 hard-to-find wines from small producers like Y. Rousseau and Forlorn Hope, all of which will be offered as tasting pours, glasses, bottles, or for take-home at retail prices, all under $25.

The menu from Chef Kevin Ahajanian, formerly of Bouchon and Risibisi in Petaluma, will be gourmet burger and hot-dog focused, with some charcuterie and hearty salad options as well.

The soft opening may be as soon as next week, and B3 will be offering twice nightly happy hours, from 4 to 6 p.m. and from 10 to midnight. Update: They’re aiming for a June 15th opening.

B3 - 1152 Valencia Street - Open Tuesday to Sunday, 4 p.m.-2 a.m.
