Squid Ink recently ran an awesome interview with Jose Andres that detailed everything the chef was doing to bring the true cuisine of España to SoCal. Next Tuesday, Andres will introduce L.A. to Spanish winemaker Alejandro Fernandez at The Bazaar’s Saam for a wine dinner. In a press release, Andres calls Fernandez “a living legend of winemaking…[Who] put Tempranillo, Ribera del Duero, and Spain on the map.” The event will mark the 25th anniversary of the first international shipment of Tinto Pesquera. Want to see the menu and consider joining Andres and Fernandez?
It’s not cheap to get a seat, but what would you expect now that Andres is hanging out in your living room with Anderson Cooper? A $200 per person reservation buys five courses to be paired with eight excellent Spanish wines. Expect Bazaar whimsy on the front-end with Philly cheese steaks and cotton candy foie gras plus entrees like baby squid in squid ink and seared chicken with dates. The full menu is below and reservations can be made, though they are limited, at 310-246-5545.
