Earlier today, Eater engaged in some Jeremy Fox rumor mongering by way of a vague quote from a cheeky server at Animal during Fox’s guest stint there last week. Grub Street contacted Fox and confirmed that no, he has no plans as of yet to open his own place, either in L.A. or elsewhere.
And he adds, furthermore, that though “these fabrications are entertaining,” this kind of thing is “exactly why I don’t talk anymore.” So gossip on, kids. Mr. Fox doesn’t join in these reindeer games.
5/25 Update: As it happens, we get the Scoop today, via the Chron (Fox wanted to let Daniel Patterson make the announcement, clearly) that Fox will be taking the helm at Plum, a new casual cousin to Daniel Patterson’s Coi in Oakland. [Grub Street SF]
