When we heard that Island Creek was opening an oyster bar in partnership with Eastern Standard owner Garrett Harker, we predicted killer cocktails. The first big detail to trickle out about the bivalvery, however, actually concerns the beer program. Eastern Standard’s bar manager Jackson Cannon is working with Pretty Things Beer and Ale Project to develop a signature beer for Island Creek Oyster Bar, reports the Herald. The beer is expected to be “in the Dortmund style” and will be golden and seafood-friendly. Island Creek Oyster Bar is still on track for a late summer opening.
