Chef Vincent Schofield Is Out at Ebb & Flow

Due to some conflicts in direction with the restaurant’s owners, chef Vincent Schofield is taking his leave of two-month-old Ebb & Flow (18th & Guerrero). Tablehopper broke the news yesterday, and today Schofield tells Grub Street, “I really wish it could have taken off more, but, you know. Things happen.” Schofield is selling his share in the business back to the owners, who are the same owners of the space’s previous incarnation, Craig’s Place. Schofield says they aren’t likely to go looking for another chef, and will likely return to the Craig’s Place format, which we guess means losing the East Coast seafood theme, and maintaining this corner’s inexplicable curse.

Schofield isn’t yet talking about his upcoming plans, but for the next month he’ll be gone fishing, for real, up in Washington State.
