Please turn your attention to our neighbors to the north, in Portland, where a fist fight broke out between chef Eric Berchard (pictured) and Cochon 555 founder Brady Lowe after a non-locally raised pig, from Iowa, won the prize at last weekend’s competition. Lowe ended up in the hospital with a broken leg. “I’m very Oregon-centric,” Berchard says, “Maybe to a fault.” Yah. As Grub Street NY puts it, “You do not mess with locavores.”
