Mission: Newly installed Gitane chef Bridget Batson is guesting at Mission Street Food on Saturday 5/22, and will be serving a menu including roasted Monterey Bay sardines with spiced potato croquettes and lemon pickles, and braised Sonoma lamb cheeks with spring garlic and fresh chickpeas. Says Batson, “it’s a chance for me to try out some of the flavors and dishes I’m working on at Gitane, and I’m excited to give back by contributing funds raised from my dinner to MSF’s new project, Commonwealth.” [Grub Street, Earlier]
