Today The Tar Pit named barman David Kupchinsky as its new bar manager. A Comme Ca vet who worked under Julian Cox before helping Mark Peel open this Hollywood supper club, his first order of booze business is launching a new cocktail list today in collaboration with the chef. Included are a rummy “Prude’s Demise,” that uses kumquats grown in front of the restaurant and his original take on an old-fashioned called “The Fashionista,” with tarragon, coriander, and cherries. The new drinks debut today at 5:00 P.M.
