We’ve looked at mixed efforts to build a better Food Truck tracker in the past, none of which have made our mobile mealtimes much easier. We now offer one from RoadStoves, the organization that helps culinary entrepreneurs hit the road in their first trucks. This new version is instantly more appealing for its inclusion of GPS technology, but equally as frustrating if you’re not an iPhone or iPad owner as the app’s best features currently only work with those inedible Apples. The GPS technology allows trucks to be tracked in real-time, eliminating the need to scour Twitter feeds or disorganized trackers. By enabling the app, you can find out which trucks are closest to you and where specific trucks are currently located on a clearly marked map, as well see their menus and latest Twitter messages. The only improvement we suggest is turning the app into a website open to all and including more trucks that are unaffiliated with Road Stoves.
