Maybe it was the Times’ profile of Guest of a Guest that convinced it to up its nightlife game (or maybe it was the fact that The Wall Street Journal is doing the same), but in any case, City Room has launched a biweekly column, the Nocturnalist. Sorry, but Sarah Maslin Nir’s first foray (into the basement of the Hudson Hotel for a Skrapper party) doesn’t make us feel at all lame for spending most of our nights eating popcorn at Grassroots Tavern.
