Like most of the food-obsessed city, we’ve been chomping at the bit to find out what Mo-Chica chef Ricardo Zarate plans next to push his unparalleled touch with Peruvian staples and ceviche into the spotlight. Today Stephane Bombet, one of Zarate’s partners, reaches out to tell us that construction is beginning on Moche Restaurant, a planned “casual-elegant Peruvian restaurant” with a kitchen under Zarate’s command. Coming to an undisclosed Downtown location near L.A. Live!, the restaurant is currently seeking one or more savvy entrepreneurs to invest in Moche with a needed $500,000, opening the door to what will surely be one of Downtown’s most anticipated restaurant debuts. Interested parties can reach Bombet at 310-855-1900 and as always, count on us putting five on it. Stay tuned for more Moche news as it comes.
