Jamie Oliver Fights Frankenfood With Spam

Jamie Oliver is pushing Food Revolution hard. Not satisfied that over 296,900 people (up from 225,665 last week) have signed the petition he plans to take to Michelle Obama, the Naked Chef has sent out an e-mail asking Facebook and Twitter users to spread the word. His valiant (or at least viral) effort is below.

Hi Guys,

Jamie’s Food Revolution is about changing the way America eats. Today is Food Revolution Friday. Please help spread the word that every child in America has the right to fresh, nutritious school meals, and every family deserves real, honest, wholesome food.

Here are 3 ways you can participate today -

If you use Facebook, post the following message as your status:

Fresh food not French fries! Sign the petition to make school lunches better. http://bit.ly/JOfoodrev Please repost this status message.

If you use Twitter, tweet the following message:

I have joined the Food Revolution and you should too! We need your help to change the way America eats. Sign the petition to save America’s cooking skills and improve school food. http://bit.ly/JOfoodrev. Thanks and please pass this message on.

Don’t miss back-to-back episodes (4 and 5) of the show tonight beginning at 8PM ET/7PM CT on ABC! Read a special Q&A; with me about the episode here.

Thank you again for your support.

Big love and respect,
