In the past month, a Garden Grove Buca di Beppo filled a pool with over 13,000 pounds of pasta for a new world-record, then a sushi-scarfing contest was held at Huntington Beach’s RA. But the O.C. is not yet done wasting huge amounts of food. Today, Fast Food Maven shows us slides of a four-pound burger served at Anaheim’s recently reopened The Catch. Sold for $35.95, the burger has ten slices of cheese and two 14-inch patties, and has brought in fifteen amateur Adam Richmans so far, with many more expected as the word spreads and baseball season begins. Meanwhile, record numbers of Southern Californians are struggling to fight hunger, hitting food banks, and trying to think of ways to fill fewer hypothetical Staples Center with wasted food.
