It’s been almost six months since we first spied Darioush setting up shop on LaCienega’s Restaurant Row. It finally opened last night and Eater tell us owner and U.K.-trained chef Darioush Danesh’s menu is mainly California-French in a score of soups and herb salads, plus dishes like a free-range Angus filet with truffled potatoes and red wine jus, and prosciutto-wrapped monkfish with caper-pinenut dressing. The chef’s Persian heritage plays into a wide selection of kebab and homemade pistachio ice cream, among a selection of French pastries. Though there’s no other evidence, we’re still convinced of a strong connection to Darioush Winery here, as its output is reportedly a mainstay of the cellar here, among the beer and other wines served.
Darioush currently serves lunch and dinner at 111 N. LaCienega Blvd. Beverly Hills
