While Chichen Itza shutters a location, Guelaguetza scraps its planned stay in Vegas, and middling mobile eats get more attention than legendary taco trucks, we keep reading about Mexican food joints we don’t really like planning more restaurants. Just as Pinches Tacos announced ambitious growth plans through next quarter, Feast reports the expansion of Best Fish Taco in Ensenada, which before we even reach Baja, is far from the best fish taco in L.A. A second location just opened in Glendale, and Pasadena and Downtown-adjacent stores could be next. You could wait for this proliferation of soggy seafood, but we recommend hitting East L.A.’s far superior Baja Ensenada on discounted Wednesdays or trying the Taco Task Force’s highest-ranked Ricky’s cart in Silver Lake.
