Aqua’s Assets Sold, Mina Definitely Doing Something Else With the Space

It’s now confirmed that the Mina Group will not be revamping the Aqua brand, and the name, liquor license, and assets have been sold to the Whisk Group, an emerging restaurant company. As tomorrow’s Scoop reports, Whisk Group CEO Mark Weiss says he is “proud to continue the Aqua brand” and he’s currently scouring the Financial District for a new location.

Michael Mina, therefore, will be doing something completely different with the space at 252 California when he takes over the lease May 1.
