Alinea’s Tasting Menu as Jelly Beans

It's probably a lot cheaper than the real thing.

Alinea is now a little easier to stomach for those with a massive sweet tooth. Michele Humes reimagined the award winning restaurant’s tasting menu by combining Jelly Belly’s odder flavors. So a dish like “Shad roe, shallot, mustard, bay aroma,” becomes, “two Sardines, one Onion, half a Grass, half a Sunkist Lemon, and half a Black Pepper.” Nearly every dish is pure candy, except the smoke aroma for the “Sturgeon, potato, leek, smoke,” where she suggests simply puffing on a cigarette.
