Under current law, SF restaurants with sidewalk dining are supposed to allow for six feet of pedestrian clearance, as well as provide removable “diverters” that wall off the boundaries of the seating areas. KRON 4’s Stanley Roberts exposes the many, many North Beach eateries that flagrantly violate these rules — rules which clearly aren’t high on the city’s list of enforcement priorities.
