Sunset: The cicerone (beer guy) over at Delarosa and Starbelly, Rich Higgins, is branching out with his own place, Social Kitchen and Brewery (1326 9th Avenue), which should be open within a few weeks. Five house-made brews will accompany a menu in which hops and malt are used as ingredients. [Eater]
South Beach: The opening of Traci Des Jardins’ Public House (as well as the attached Mijita taqueria in the former ACME Chophouse space at the ballpark) is about three weeks off, just in time for baseball season. It will feature a craft brew menu by consultant Eric Cripe and pub food by chef Thom Foxe. [SFoodie]

Civic Center/Hayes Valley: Speaking of Traci des Jardins, as we mentioned last week, Jardinière is serving another Monday night wine dinner next week featuring the wines of Sicily. There’s a $45 prix fixe, and you should make reservations here. [Grub Street]
SOMA: Brunch, relocated from the transitioning Citizen Cake, starts this weekend at Orson. [Grub Street]
Embarcadero: Top Chef vet and former Circa chef Erik Hopfinger is taking the helm at The Waterfront, and rewriting the menu. [Eater]
