The Fishtown Neighbors Association held a zoning committee meeting last night to decide whether or not to give Stephen Starr’s proposed beer garden with valet parking a thumbs up from the neighborhood. A commenter over on the fishtown.us forum says the beer garden proposal “passed overwhelmingly” although “Starr himself didn’t seem all that sold on the idea” of valet parking. Meanwhile, over at the Philadelphia Speaks forum, another commenter who attended the meeting notes “A few people had legitimate concerns over parking, noise, etc. The developers seemed to share their concern and appeared willing to work with them to resolve it.”
