Reading Terminal Market released some big numbers recently: there were 5.8 million visits in 2009, the highest total in the Market’s 118-year history and the sixth consecutive year of growth in visitor traffic. Sales were also up: 3.8 percent over 2008, for a total of $21.4 million. Also of note, the Market was the largest redeemer of food stamps in PA.
