Cochon555, the pork cook-off/gorgefest, returns to Boston on March 28. Matt Jennings, of Providence’s Farmstead, will defend his “Prince of Porc” title against Craigie on Main’s Tony Maws, Jamie Bissonnette of Toro, Hungry Mother’s Barry Maiden, and Joseph Margate of Clink. Each chef will be given a whole pig to serve up and the chef with the tastiest treats wins. Last year’s offerings included carnitas tacos (pictured), pork liver mousse, and bacon praline marshmallows. The party starts at 5 p.m. at the Liberty Hotel and tickets will run you $125. Can’t decide whether it’s worth the splurge? Check out our drool-inducing slideshow of last year’s dishes.
