Berkeley: The North Shattuck Association and the Berkeley Lions Club are sponsoring a benefit event next Wednesday, March 24th called A Taste of North Berkeley’s Gourmet Ghetto, featuring eats from places like Gregoire, Poulet, and Saul’s Deli, and wine from Vintage Berkeley. It goes from 6 to 9 p.m., the price is $25, and proceeds go to benefit various local charities including the Berkeley Food and Housing Project. [Grub Street]

Sausalito: Poggio Trattoria has announced their series of seasonal feasts (or, rather, festas), beginning the Allo Spiedo Misto Festa from April 20th to the 24th, in which they’ll be spit-roasting rabbit, goat, pig and game birds over a live fire. [Grub Street]
