What to Eat

What to Eat at Marlowe, Opening Today

Marlowe makes its debut today in the former South space with chef Jennifer Puccio (formerly of Cortez) at the helm, and the bistro-style menu proves to be fairly recesssion-sensitive. Both day and night menus start with three-dollar baked oysters and some five-dollar snacks. There’s a burger for eleven bucks with bacon and horseradish aioli, and the dinner menu tops out at $24 for a lamb and merguez mixed grill and $28 for steak frites.

We expect the crowd-pleasing, French bistro theme will bring in more business than the former Aussie concept, and we look forward to seeing what they’ve done with the space.

See the full dinner menu below (there is also a daytime bar menu featuring the burger and various snacks under ten dollars).
