Jose Garces’ new market and cafe, Garces Trading Company, opened to the public this morning at 7 a.m. The gourmet commissary has multiple components including housemade charcuterie and cheeses, an on-site bakery, a flower shop, coffee shop and prepared foods, plus in-market dining with table service. It’s also the site of the first PLCB “wine boutique,” a store-within-a-store concept that has ruffled the feathers of other restaurateurs around town.

We stopped by the opening event last night for an early look at the location and the wares. Click through the slideshow to find out more about the offerings at GTC, from the deep-dish pizzas to the DIY Village Whiskey burgers.

You can view the entire food menu here and the dessert and coffee menus here. There is table service, but no reservations will be taken.

The cafe and market will be open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The PLCB boutique will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
