What to Eat at American Craft, Opening Next Week

Roadhouse served its last meal this past weekend, but the space won’t lie dormant for long. The team behind Roadhouse and Publick House will open American Craft in the space next Monday. Corey French will helm the new restaurant, which, like his old menu at Providence’s Mill’s Tavern will focus on hearty locally-sourced fare — think oven-roasted trout with grilled escarole and spelt ragu. American Craft will also offer a build-your-own burger platter with toppings from fried eggs to foie gras butter. This being a Publick House joint, the beer list will be strong with forty American brews on tap, as well as extensive American wine and spirit lists. All in all, the menu, below, sounds much more focused than Roadhouse, which veered from barbecue to tacos.
