Chef Sebastien Archambault, who represents the traditional cooking of his native Southwest France at RH at Andaz, has created a menu of Julia Child’s most famous dishes to celebrate upcoming Oscars-weekend. Someone is making him call it his “Julie and Julia Menu,” and yes, there will be beef bourguignonne, but Archambault takes his inspiration from Child’s cookbooks and programs, and not Julie Powell’s. So what’s being served?

His menu shows the chef throwing black truffles into two dishes, a Perigord-style poached egg and a Lompoc-raised leek vinaigrette with Applewood bacon, as well as riffing on lobster thermidor in a ravioli, and chasing the bourguignonne with a jar of babas au rum. The menu costs $90 per couple for three courses and will only be served next weekend, from March 5th to 7th, ending the night of the Oscars.
