We just gave a call to “Mama” at Philippe the Original and can confirm the restaurant is reopen following this morning’s health inspection. No official word released yet on whether they buried their cock-a-roaches or whether you’ll be saying hello to their little friends, but if it’s time to hit a dip, don’t trip, KNBC says the restaurant “typically receives high schores [SIC] during inspections.” Okay. This week the death of Philippe-founder Bill Bender surfaced days before the bugs. Let’s hope bad luck doesn’t really come in threes.
