“Molecular gastronomy is like the culinary version of Emo,” Graham Elliot Bowles cryptically proclaims to Blackbook “(So many) bands are like, ‘Well, we got the emo thing thrown on, us but we’re really just a rock band.’” He might reject the MG label (yeah, and Grant Achatz’s haircut is a window into his soul), but a guy who puts pop rocks next to foie is going to have a hard time shaking it. More intriguing: the magazine notes that Bowles has “a rockabilly, outsider’s “greaser” diner” on deck. Is that Grahamwich they’re talking about? Because the greaser-diner angle takes it to a whole new crazy level. [Blackbook]
