Fashion Week Debutantes: Which Nightlife Newbie Is the Coolest of Them All?

A handful of new nightlife venues have launched during Fashion Week, and the folks who keep track of these things are checking the guest lists to find out who’s on top. We’ve already noted that Kenmare (which Gawker reminds us yet again is not the new Beatrice, though that hasn’t stopped UrbanDaddy from drooling over the basement you see above) hosted a nudity-streaked party for Purple. But Guest of a Guest is wondering if Jesse Malin’s new bar in the old Pizza Shop space, Black Market, stole its thunder by pulling in Bono, Michael Stipe, Natalie Portman, Kirsten Dunst, Jason Schwartzman, Spike Jonze, and the Olsen twins for a Rodarte after-party.

According to Style.com, Dunst, Stipe, and Schwartzman also showed up at the Ace Hotel’s basement for the Opening Ceremony after-party. Meanwhile, Guest of a Guest also checked in on the Hudson Hotel’s new nightspot, Good Units, and found Derek Blasberg, Leigh Lezark, Becka Diamond, and Peaches Geldof celebrating Jeremy Scott (Refinery 29 also visited and has some advice for snagging the “’80s couch.”). Provocateur hosted the Alice + Olivia after-party, where Mena Suvari, Fred Armisen, and some folks from The City partied to the Misshapes, and Richie Rich was at Amnesia along with his runway models Pamela Anderson and Tinsley Mortimer.
