Three local restaurants are celebrating their birthdays over the next two weeks, as well as the survival of one very tough year. Even better, they are showing their customers a little appreciation with specials, deals, and freebies. Take a look below at which restaurants both have, and have given, reasons to celebrate another year.

Bombay Palace, one of the city’s oldest and most glamorous Indian restaurants, is celebrating 25 years in a space that still looks a little ahead of its time, though new Celadon seems to have caught up with the aesthetic. The same owners, the Shethi family, are still running the restaurant (as well as Nirvana across the street) and the same chefs, Harnam Singh and Surjit Singh, are still in the kitchen. The restaurant is having a gala celebration this Thursday that features a ribbon cutting with Beverly Hills’ mayor, to be followed by sitar talent and DJs. Throughout 2010, the restaurant offers its lunch buffet for $25 for two people and its best dinner deal, the “Palace Feast,” for just $25 a person. Bombay Palace might be getting up there in years, but has stayed with the times, even mixing their own fresh fruit cocktails with Indian influences. Reservations at 310-659-9944.

West Hollywood’s Cecconi’s is having its first birthday this Thursday, capping off a great debut that has won plenty of praise and celebrity fans. Cecconi’s is serving its usual Italian fare during the celebration, but will give every diner a free cupcake, with candle, in the same Curlean blue color scheme as the restaurant, along with a comp glass of prosecco. Reservations to dine on February 25th can be made at 310-432-2000.

BLT Steak’s parent restaurant is turning six in New York, but we’re getting the benefits without freezing our booties off. For one day only, next Wednesday March 3rd, BLT Steak L.A. will have a slew of special prices for its drinks and food. BLT will offer blackboard specials, normally around $50, for just $33.04 to reflect the original opening date, plus sides and drinks for just $3.03. Therein lies the steal, as cocktails typically go over ten dollars here. This restaurant has a large selection of dishes and seems to get it all right. If you haven’t been yet, stopping in to give birthday wishes would be a great time to save money and eat well. Reservations at 310-360-1950.
