Writing on his Facebook wall, chef Justin Deering of the two-year-old Mission eatery Conduit says, “It was a hell of a ride,” and “I’m proud of what we did.” Though details are sketchy at this point, the well-reviewed restaurant with an award-winning design by Stanley Saitowitz has “unsurprising[ly]” fallen victim to the Great Recession, as Eater reports. We wish Justin luck in bringing his deconstructed and sous vide wizardry to another venue soon. (Update: Owner Brian Gavin Gavin speaks about the closing.)
