Poutine: so hot right now? Still? Time Out Chicago picks up on a story the Tribune was all over almost exactly a year ago, but it’s fitting that an editorial passion for fried potatoes topped with meaty gravy and cheese is evergreen. (Heck, it’s not even limited to Chicago.) TOC suggests The Bad Apple, The Gage, Paramount Room, and Nightwood’s renditions of the Montrealer staple, and we’ll add Kith & Kin to the list — their slim fries, pristine cheese curds, and elegant gravy are a surpassingly white-tablecloth take on the ultimate drunkfood.
