“Right now, the food industry creates patients for the health-care industry,” Michael Pollan told Jon Stewart last night on The Daily Show. Pollan was ostensibly there to plug his new book, Food Rules, but also got into a discussion about how health-care reform could change the food industry. If everyone must have access to health care, the insurance industry could take a bigger interest in how we care for ourselves and, namely, what we eat.
