Non-profits 18 Reasons and Take My Word For It are teaming up on February 6th to offer a writing class to kids in third, fourth, and fifth grade called “Peanut Butter and the Pen: Food Writing for Kids.” This seems like a natural fit for food- and free-expression-obsessed San Francisco — where there actually aren’t all that many kids, but the ones who do grow up here are pretty well fed. The two-hour class costs $20, and advance tickets are required.

We fear an upcoming spate of new blogs by precocious local critics who are even younger than this kid.
