The president of the Seward Park Co-op tells the Villager that Grand Park, the eatery Jesse Hartman tried for months to bring to the former Isabella’s Oven space, is a no-go. Back in November, Hartman hadn’t yet signed a lease but was hopeful that, with the help of well-funded partners who owned “numerous respected restaurants worldwide,” he’d be able to bring a restaurant with a glass-enclosed patio to the Co-Op’s property. It seems the deal fell through shortly thereafter, and now it remains to be seen what the neighborhood will get instead. Hey, there’s always the new tiki bar nearby!
