Napa’s HdV Wines (Hyde de Villaine) is coming to West Hollywood for the first time with an extravagant winemaker’s dinner planned by exec chef Andy Cook and sommelier Aaron Elliott at Gordon Ramsay at The London. HdV winemaker Stephane Vivier will help host the dinner, pairing past and current vintages and offering his expertise. HdV is testimony to the fruits of a good marriage, born from the union of Pamela de Villaine, a cousin of the Hyde family of Hyde Vineyards, who boosted Napa’s early reputation with its Carneros soil-grown grapes, and Burgundy’s Aubert de Villaine, raised on the classic wine-making traditions that established his family’s Domaine de la Romanée Conti as an international legend.
Reservations are available by emailing Elliott for the January 21st dinner, offering three courses and passed canapés, plus dessert and cheese, paired with five wines. The $150 per person price is reflected back in hedonistic selections that include wagyu short rib with tenderloin, salmon mi-cut, and roasted quail with foie gras. The London’s HdV Winemaker’s Dinner menu is below.
